Charity Reveals Details Of Loans Approved In Opening Quarter

The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity is delighted to announce the total sum approved in interest-free business and education loans for the opening quarter of 2020.

Following the first round of interviews with prospective borrowers in February, five loans, totalling a sum of £44,000, were approved to help establish or develop new businesses in Leicestershire, or help students return to university to obtain postgraduate qualifications.

Of that figure, £29,000 was approved as business loans, with a dog grooming business among the three ventures that will benefit from the charity’s support.

Meanwhile, two education loans, totalling £15,000, will be utilised to fund Masters courses in marketing and project management.

The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity is now welcoming applications ahead of the second deadline of the year.

All business and education loan applications must be submitted by 3.30pm on Wednesday 1 April 2020.

Interviews with prospective borrowers will then be hosted in early May, with successful applicants notified in June.

Application packs can be accessed digitally by visiting the links below and completing a contact form. Links to the application packs will be emailed immediately.
