Charity Features As Part Of ‘New Year, New You’ Event

The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity joined a panel of inspirational speakers at the De Montfort University Innovation Centre’s co-working café on Wednesday 24 January, forming part of the centre’s ‘Connect at the Co-Working Café’ event focusing on the topic ‘New Year, New You’.

In attendance on behalf of The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity, Chair of Trustees David Howard delivered a background talk on the support that the Charity provides through interest-free business and education loans, specifically for young entrepreneurs wishing to establish or develop a business within Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland.

Also speaking on the evening was DMU student and founder of Evade Magazine, Emma Guy; the latest winner of the university’s Pitch2Win competition, which The Sir Thomas White Loan Charity sponsors annually.

The evening also consisted of a Q&A and networking session, which saw David engage with many of those in attendance on a one-on-one basis, discussing potential business ideas and the finer details of the Charity’s application process.
